The XG features a single bunk, while the larger, more luxurious XG+ has a double bunk configuration, making it the preferred choice for drivers who spend extended periods in the cab.
Powering these two game-changers is the revolutionary new 15-litre, 660hp PACCAR PX-15 engine. Compact, lightweight, incredibly fuel efficient, and validated over five million kilometres of Australian highway testing, its potential to reduce operating costs for fleets, large and small, is already proven.

Unrivalled productivity
The XG and XG+ are the product of a global collaboration between PACCAR and Cummins engineering centres—a partnership driven by the ambition to complement the superior safety, luxury and aerodynamics of these flagships with a level of DAF productivity never-before seen on Australian roads.
The new lightweight PX-15 engine provided the catalyst. This next generation 660hp 3200Nm engine provides the immense capability that Australian operators need, whilst significantly reducing front axle tare weight. These elements allow key aspects of the chassis and powertrain to be optimised to maximise both range and payload.
The result? A truck designed for Australian high-productivity combinations operating at maximum GCM, plus the ability to travel further without refuelling. No compromise to steer axle weight or swing clearance. No compromise to length, even with a bull bar fitted.
A result that is testament to PACCAR’s local knowledge and experience, and central to ensuring the new DAF XG and XG+ meet the unique demands of the Australian road transport industry.

CLOSED WHEEL ARCH COVERS
The closed wheel arch covers combine with the unique roundings to reduce turbulence and increase aerodynamic efficiency.
Performance redefined
Engineered for the DAF XG and XG+ in Australia, the PACCAR PX-15 is an automotive masterwork. The new generation engine platform features a sculpted, ladder frame style block, significantly increasing the performance levels possible from a 15-litre engine.
HIGH PERFORMANCE COOLING SYSTEM
The New Generation DAF flagships benefit from the best possible passive cooling. Proven under Australian operating conditions, its next-level flow guides in the grille and cab-mounted encapsulation combine for excellent under cab airflow. This ensures minimal fan engagement through optimal use of every litre of air that passes through the grille.
ADVANCED AIR MANAGEMENT
Engineered to meet the higher intake demands of the 15-litre engine, the XG and XG+ feature a snorkel air intake mounted immediately behind the cab.
A solution that optimises air intake, maintains a clean transition from the aerodynamic cab surfaces to the trailer, and simplifies serviceability.
EFFORTLESS 16-SPEED TRANSMISSION
The Australian XG and XG+ have been equipped with TraXon’s top-of-the-range 16-speed automated gearbox, to deliver an efficient driveline with exceptional driveability, reliability, and durability. Utilising a locally developed calibration for Australian applications, the transmission harnesses the high torque output from the PACCAR PX-15 engine. This ensures the perfect gear is always available and makes both flagship trucks a dream to drive.
PROVEN REAR AXLE/SUSPENSION SOLUTION
With their proven reliability and high load capacity, these locally supplied axles maximise productivity, especially under Australian high-productivity configurations. Combined with PACCAR Airglide suspension, they also enable a shorter rear frame overhang, enabling the use of drop deck trailers.

SMART FEATURES FOR ACTIVE SAFETY
Brake Assist, Lane Departure Warning System and Emergency Brake Lights are standard, as is the third-
generation Advanced Emergency Braking System that reacts upon a possible collision with both stationary and moving objects when travelling at speeds of up to 100km/h.
Additional DAF active safety features include an Automated Electronic Park Brake. The park brake automatically initiates when then engine is off, or when it detects that the driver’s door is open, thus helping to prevent accidental roll aways.

With its large windscreen, ultra-low belt lines, and visibility-enhancing features, the DAF XG and XG+ set a new industry benchmark for direct and indirect vision. A benchmark complemented by an expansive array of active and passive safety features, superior ergonomics, and a human interface that embodies the DAF philosophy of ‘Hands on the Wheel, Eyes on the Road’.
PROGRAMMED CAB DISPLACEMENT SYSTEM
Allows a 40cm cab displacement on the chassis during an accident and prevents the cab detaching from the chassis. This maintains the cab structure and maximises survival space for occupants.
360° IMPACT PROTECTION
The robust cab structure leaves nothing to chance: energy-absorbing crash boxes are built into the bulkhead, the back of the cab features fully integrated rear crash zones to protect against moving loads, a programmed steering wheel movement reduces driver impact, and the dashboard includes impact absorbing zones to protect the driver’s knees.
CORNER VIEW
Removes blind spots to the front and left, helping to improve roadside safety. Positioned on the left front corner pillar, it replaces the kerb and front view mirrors with an electronic display that provides a substantially better image with a much bigger field of view.

The air seat settings and steering wheel position adapt effortlessly to suit each driver’s personal preferences. Seat height and setback, cushion tilt and length, backrest angle, lumbar support position and profile can all be quickly finessed, while the steering wheel offers the largest adjustment on the market.
PREMIUM EURO FINISHES
The XG and XG+ interiors have the look and feel of a luxury car. From the seats and dashboard trim to the walls and upper compartment, high-quality materials and finishes are used throughout.

Operated from the steering wheel, the premium 12-inch central screen displays a wealth of information personalised according to your preferences. To the left of the steering wheel, the standard 10-inch display provides access to the DAF Infotainment System, which offers phone mirroring, infotainment, navigation and more.

Ultimate comfort
Capitalising fully on new European design regulations, the XG and XG+ interiors offer class-leading accommodation, with more than enough room to stand upright, and an abundance of space behind the wheel and throughout the cabin.
After a productive day behind the wheel, the space transforms into a haven for rest, relaxation and sleep, with a generously proportioned lower bunk that sets new standards in comfort and quality.
The XG+ offers even greater opportunity for a restful night, with an adjustable headrest and push button electrically adjustable bed, as well as an upper sleeping bunk or luggage bed.
Need to catch up on admin before calling it a night? Stay right where you are. A large retractable table suitable for working or eating is integrated into the dashboard, along with a storage tray with plenty of room for documents as well as a multitude of USB ports and 12V sockets.
DEEP SPACE
The additional length and flat floor of the New Generation DAF cab translate directly into greater comfort and freedom of movement for the driver. The larger footwell provides ample leg space, while longer seat rails and 55 degrees of steering wheel adjustment make it easier to find the optimum driving position.
DREAM BIG
ving comfort with sleeping comfort, the new interiors more than measure up. The XG has an interior standing height of 2040mm, whilst the XG+ has a standing height of 2170mm. Both feature an 800mm by 2220mm fully rectangular lower bunk, with the added option of a manually adjustable head rest on the XG.
RELAX TO THE MAX
The XG+ features the ultimate, electrically adjustable ‘DAF Relax Bed’. It offers a supportive, super comfortable pocket sprung mattress, and responds at the touch of a button to deliver a truly personalised level of comfort.
MULTI-FUNCTION REAR WALL PANEL
The most useful functionalities are all within easy reach of the bed—everything from lighting, temperature, windows as well as the roof hatch control.
STORAGE EVERYWHERE
Easily accessible general storage space is provided in the roof console, on top of the dashboard, and in the door pockets. Further storage is integrated into the sleeping area, including dual under bed refrigerator drawers in the XG+, and one refrigerator drawer and one storage drawer in the XG. There’s also ample room for a microwave and TV, and additional provisions for phone storage and charging.
MULTI-PURPOSE PASSENGER SEAT
A seat one moment, a handy second table the next: the passenger seat on the XG can be folded or unfolded in an instant.
